> Summary: McpTransportMode: The way a connection to an MCP server is made.

Namespace Tracon · Assembly
Tracon.Abstractions.dll

The way a connection to an MCP server is made.

```csharp
[JsonConverter(typeof(JsonStringEnumConverter<McpTransportMode>))]
public enum McpTransportMode
```

## Fields

`Sse = 1`

Server-sent events (SSE). For legacy servers.

`StreamableHttp = 0`

Streamable HTTP. MCP's current remote transport.

## Remarks

**Stdio is deliberately absent.** The stdio transport starts a process on the server; this means anyone with access to the admin UI runs a program on the server, which fundamentally breaks the code-only tools rule. Tracon connects only to *remote* MCP servers.
