Namespace Tracon · Assembly
Tracon.Abstractions.dll

How tools are handled during replay.

```csharp
[JsonConverter(typeof(JsonStringEnumConverter<ReplayToolMode>))]
public enum ReplayToolMode
```

## Fields

`LiveTools = 2`

Tools actually run and produce side effects. If any tool requires
approval, the request is rejected; the endpoint also requires the
`Admin` role.

`NoTools = 0`

Tools are never bound; only the model response is produced. Skills and
callable child agents are also disabled — both appear to the model as
a tool.

`ReplayTools = 1`

Recorded tool results are played back; no tool body runs. A call with
no match **stops** the replay.

## Remarks

Written and read **as a name** in JSON. Without the
converter, the minimal API cannot resolve the body, and the request fails
with an *empty-bodied* `400` — the error message does not say
why. The same note applies to [RunScoreKind](/api/tracon.runscorekind/).
