## Remarks The timeout is the node's own ([WorkflowNodeReference.Timeout](/api/tracon.workflownodereference/#Tracon_WorkflowNodeReference_Timeout)), or the one its function was registered with. When it elapses, the token the function's handler was given is cancelled and the run stops waiting: the exception fails the node, so the workflow run ends `Failed` and no later node runs. Reports and alert rules can rely on this stable name instead of an assembly name.
