## POST {prefix}/api/images/generate

**Operation ID:** `TraconGenerateImage`

**Generates images and saves them as attachments.**

This is an operator action outside a run. Generated images are saved as attachments and the response returns their descriptors and configured cost. To record usage in tool_invocations, use the agent's generate_image tool instead. Returns 403 when the tenant's egress policy does not allow the image provider, or when the tenant has its own credential for it: the generator uses the setup credential, and the image is not generated on it.

**Authorization:** bearer authentication; `Operator` role policy when that policy is registered; `RunsWrite` API-key scope.
